YouTube Launches 'Safety Mode'
The feature screens out most material parents might find objectionable.

YouTube has added a Safety Mode feature that lets parents filter out objectionable content. The feature is “opt-in.” It can be enabled for individual browsing sessions via a link at the bottom of all YouTube pages or for all YouTube sessions through a check-box in the account controls.
“Safety Mode isn’t foolproof,” the service warns in its announcement, “but it provides a greater degree of control over your YouTube experience.” YouTube also now displays the parental control ratings for TV show clips it offers.
In the video below, YouTube demonstrates Safety Mode and shows how to activate it.
