Six-year-old cutie Erin O. graces our holiday 2014 cover. One of five sisters, the first-grader’s part of a busy brood that takes full advantage of the community family fun in and around their hometown of Elk Twp., NJ. Mom Kati fills us in below.
Erin’s siblings: Kati (10), Amy (9), Kellianne (8), Madalyn (3) and hamster Benjamin (3).
Her personal faves: “She loves danc- ing, singing, riding her bike, playing on our swing set, playing with her sisters and shopping. She wants to be a model when she grows up. Her favorite movie, of course, is Frozen. Her favorite foods are carrots and broccoli.”
Her CoverKids journey: “Erin's school sent home the magazine and we saw the contest and entered her in it. She was so happy to find out she was going to be on the cover. We jumped up and down because we were all so excited.”
Her neighborhood: “We live in a great community. We have a park right down the road, which also serves as our location for holiday events such as Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, Christmas Tree lighting and all our kids’ sporting games and practices. We also have the Ferrell Firehouse, which hosts so many things all year long for children.”
Holiday plans: “We celebrate Christmas together at our home, where I do all the cooking and the girls play all day while in their matching pajamas. We love visiting the Pitman, NJ Christmas Village followed by a trip to see Santa. We go every year and it's spectacular.”
Why they’re an MK family: “Having five girls under 10, it's not always easy coming up with something for us to do and the magazine makes that easy. All you have to do is flip to a page and there's so many things that we can go do.”
