Top Picks for This Weekend

Ever wanted to walk in the middle of the road? You can do just that during Philly Free Streets Saturday. A stretch of North Broad, from Butler to Arch Sts., is closed to traffic so families can jump on the opportunity to bike, play and explore the neighborhoods along the route.

Here's what else you can do in Philly this weekend.

Don your most colorful garb and flutter over to Pennington, NJ’s Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association for the Butterfly Festival Saturday, complete with kids’ activities, an insect zoo, hayrides, nature walks, live music and a butterfly & bug parade.

Get outside with these upcoming nature-based events.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire brings 13 weekends of medieval family fun to Manheim’s Mount Hope Estate and Winery. Starting Saturday, the 35-acre village features period music, dancing, food, stage shows, attractions and a different theme each time, kicking off with Children’s Fantasy Weekend.

History comes to life at these exhibits, festivals and educational programs.
