More than 10 million Fisher Price toys, including tricycles, play sets, high chairs and Wheelies Rampway, have been recalled because children can become injured falling onto protruding parts or because they pose choking hazards.
“Consumers should stoop using recalled products immediately,” the Consumer Products Safety Commission advised. Here are the recalled products.
► Approximately 7 million tricycles sold as Fisher Price Trikes and Tough Trikes. The trikes have these product numbers: 72633, 72639, 72642, 72643, 72644, 72792, B8775, B8776, K6672, K6673, M5727, N6021, T6209 and V4270. The tricycles are being recalled because a child can strike, sit or fall on the protruding plastic ignition key resulting in serious injury, including genital bleeding.
► About 2.8 million play sets made before 2008, including:
- Baby Playzone Crawl & Cruise Playground (product number 73408)
- Baby Playzone Crawl & Slide Arcade (product number B2408)
- Baby Gymnastics Play Wall (product number H5704)
- Bat & Score Goal (product K0476)
- 1-2-3 Tetherball (product number J0327)
- Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium (product numbers C3068 and H8094)
The play sets are being recalled because the valve of the inflatable ball on these toys can fall off and pose a choking hazard.
► Some 950,000 high chairs, including the Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close To Me brands. The high chairs have these product numbers: 79638, 79639, 79640, 79641, B0326, B2105, B2875, C4630, C4632, G4406, G8659, H0796, H1152, H4864, H7241, H8906, H9178, J4011, J6292, J8229, K2927 and L191. Children can fall on or against pegs on the high chairs’ rear legs, resulting in injuries or lacerations. The pegs are used for high chair tray storage.
► Approximately 100,000 Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampways (product numbers T4261,T5095 and V6378). Wheels on the purple and the green cars can come off, posing a choking hazard.
