You've heard them in the car; you've heard them on your phone; you've heard them through Alexa and Google. Now, you'll be able to hear the Baby Shark family live, on stage, in Philadelphia and Reading in November.
Baby Shark Live will stop in 30 cities starting in October and ending in Philadelphia at the Academy of Music before resuming the tour in the spring. It will be at the Santander Arena in Reading, PA on Nov. 5. Tickets for Academy of Music performance go on sale Friday, Aug. 2.
And while your kids might enjoy hearing the viral hit played over and over and over again for the whole show, the producers plan to include other ditties with which you will be very familiar:
- Five Little Monkeys
- Wheels on the Bus
- Jungle Boogie
- Monkey Banana Dance
So do they save the greatest hit for the closing number? Or the encore? Or do it multiple times throughout the show?
We don't know. What we do know is that Pinkfong (the pink fox) and his song about a family of sharks has been played 3 billion times on YouTube. You can be forgiven if you feel like your household has been responsible for at least half of those.
"The toughest part for us is taking the three minute viral video and being able to produce a live show for the stage," Stephen Shaw, whose Round Room Live is putting on the part dance party, part concert, told Billboard. "Thankfully Pinkfong has a large catalog of songs that we have access to, with more than 400 titles."
But only one of them is guaranteed to bring the house down.
