The MK crew will man the MetroKids Pirate’s Lair during the 2nd Annual Old City Seaport Festival at the Independence Seaport Museum. Find us from 10am-5pm Sat. and Sun. on the museum’s second floor, where your young buccaneers can swashbuckle in style, try on a peg leg and make their own hooks and eye patches. Elsewhere, board the WWII sub Becuna, scope out the engine room of the steel warship Olympia, saunter the deck of a tall ship or two, witness a pirate battle, enter a rowboat race, marvel at wooden and model ships, cheer on the Parade of Boats, imbibe a beverage in the Beer Garden and tuck into some anything-but-scurvy Philly food truck eats. Here's exactly what you can expect at our lair.
