LEGOLAND Discovery Center Preview
Bring your kids’ LEGO™ creations to life with hours of family fun at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in PA’s Plymouth Meeting Mall. The grand opening was last week, and we got a sneak peek at all the venue offers.
Fans of the beloved bricks can tap into their inventive side at this expansive playspace jam-packed with attractions. Hop aboard the Imagination Express train ride as it travels from Brick Station to a soapy bath, then all the way to outer space. Once you’re back on your feet, see LEGO replicas of iconic Philly buildings, boathouse row, a subway scene, Reading Terminal Market and South Philly steak shops in MINILAND™. While there, view thousands of figures going about their day: See if you can spot Vikings cheering on the home team, armed marauders, a strolling wizard and even a LEGO version of soft pretzels.
Join the action over in the NINJAGO Training Camp laser maze and, for the littlest visitors, the DUPLO™ Park soft playground. Construct a LEGO Racer and take it for a spin on the track, then try to build a LEGO skyscraper that can withstand the shaking Earthquake Table. Next, round up your mateys and travel to Pirate Adventure Island, where you’ll walk the plank and climb atop the island’s castle. And be sure to add your story to LEGO Friends’ Heartlake City.
Need a breather? Head to the 4D Cinema to watch tales that feature familiar characters. (Prepare to get wet! These shows are not recommended for those with breathing or sensory issues.) Conclude your visit in the large LEGOLAND gift shop and pick up a souvenir to remember the fun. Cap off the experience with these optional activities:
