Kid-Friendly Events This Weekend: Oct. 8-10

It’s still early October, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start celebrating Halloween. This weekend, there are plenty of local Halloween events for the whole family, that range from spooky to less so, as well as some classic fall festivals. Finish off the weekend by celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day with the Museum of the American Revolution.

7th Annual Amazing Pumpkin Carve

Harvest Weekend at Dilworth Park

This three-day autumn celebration in the middle of the city includes live entertainment, circus performances, a pumpkin carving demonstration and even a vaccine clinic for ages 12 and up.

Awbury Harvest Festival

The 18th annual South Jersey Pumpkin Show will include pumpkin desserts, fun contests, amusement rides, pony rides and more. Kids ages 4-10 can participate in the Halloween Costume Contest & Treat or Treat Stroll.

Indigenous Peoples’ Weekend with the Museum

The Museum of the American Revolution will be offering family-friendly activities to explore the stories of Native Americans as part of their annual Indigenous Peoples Weekend celebration.
