This weekend’s family-friendly events in the Delaware Valley include multiple festivals, plenty of ways to get into nature and a special sleepover night at a local zoo.

ZooSnooze
July 9, 6 p.m.-August 14, 9:30 a.m.
Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown, PA 19401

The whole family is invited to sleep over at Elmwood Park Zoo as a part of ZooSnooze, an exciting overnight event complete with meals, a flashlight tour, campfire activities and an educational show.

Nighttime Pollinator Observation Night
July 9, 8:30-11 p.m.
Bartram’s Garden, 5400 Lindbergh Blvd. Philadelphia, 19143

Local naturalist Ken Frank and gardener Mandy Katz will be leading participants on a nighttime tour of Bartram’s Garden in Southwest Philly to discover what insects and animals emerge after the sun goes down.

Movie in the Park: “Trolls World Tour”

Bring the whole family, a blanket and popcorn to enjoy this outdoor viewing of “Trolls World Tour” in Lansdale.

Blueberry Festival
July 10, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Linvilla Orchards, 137 West Knowlton Rd., Media, PA 19063

Linvilla Orchards is kicking off blueberry season with their annual Blueberry Festival. The day’s festivities include a blueberry pie-eating contest, kid-friendly entertainment from Silly Joe and costumed characters.

For those of you in New Jersey: there’s another blueberry festival happening this Saturday a little closer to home. Mood’s Farm Market will have live music, pick-your-own blueberries and special blueberry donuts.

A Summer Reading Nature Celebration!
July 10, 10 a.m.
Oak Lane Library, 6614 North 12th St., Philadelphia, PA 19126

This all-morning program will include a family story time, free books and nature exploration kits and even a raffle of books for adults.

Butterfly Festival
July 10, 12-4 p.m.
Red Bank Battlefield, 100 Hessian Ave., National Park, NJ 08063

The whole family will enjoy this festival all about butterflies, bees and pollinators at Gloucester County’s Red Bank Battlefield. Activities include tours of the Butterfly House, free classes and a bug parade.

PECO Family Jams: Rolling River Prints with the Fabric Workshop and Museum
July 11, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Philadelphia Magic Gardens, 1020 South St., Philadelphia, PA 19147

Facilitators from the Fabric Workshop and Museum will lead this month’s PECO Family Jams activity at the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. This family-friendly printmaking workshop will explore sensory experiences.
