Winter Meal Cooked on a Wood Stove

Pennypacker Mills, a historic site with an early 1900s mansion, hosts a cooking demonstration over a wood-fired cast iron stove. Learn how people made soup, bread and meat during the 20th century.

The Philly Youth “Selfie Project”

Youth from all across the city of Philadelphia are invited to join professional artists at the Germantown ArtHaus for a chance to create their own self-portraits. The pictures will be displayed on the side of an old Victorian building in Germantown spelling out the word “hope.”

Warm Up by the River

Did you miss last month’s “Warm Up by the River” event? Don’t worry — it’s happening again! And it’s still cold enough to appreciate it. Enjoy hot chocolate, a guided educational walk along the Delaware River, geocaching and s’mores at this fun winter outdoor event co-hosted by Let’s Go Outdoors, a family-friendly outdoor programming organization, and RiverFront North, a local organization that restores parks along the Delaware River.
