Fall DIY Baby Food Combos

0

I was out in my garden picking the fall harvest and I got thinking, "Gosh, these foods would be perfect for baby food." There is nothing better than picking your own crops and making them into something delicious for the ones you love. There are so many amazing vegetables and fruits that you can grab from a local farmer or right in your backyard, you can create fantastic baby meals that will last until the winter.

Here are five fall baby food combinations that your baby and/or tot would love anytime of the year.

Pumpkin + Oats

Pears + Kale + Barley

Sweet Potato + Cauliflower

Eggplant + Butternut Squash + Quinoa

Apples + Acorn Squash + Amaranth

When making these mixtures don’t forget to add those amazing fall spices — cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice, thyme and rosemary. When adding flavor to baby food, you expand your child's palette, which will help later on during those picky-eater years.
