Annual Fairs, Fests & Parades in the Delaware Valley

There is certainly no shortage of annual events and activities to do with your family in the Phiily area. Below, you’ll find just a few of the parades, festivals, fairs and more to check out each year. Add them to your calendar and make some new memories!

Burlington County

Burlington County Farm Fair (July 21-25)

A fair dedicated to local farming, with livestock shows, animals, tractor pulls, pig races, midway rides, craft vendors, rodeos and more

Medford Oktoberfest & Music Festival (September)

Two days featuring a beer garden, food trucks (including German food), a business and vendor expo and children’s activities

Historic Smithville Park Autumn Lands Festival (October)

Family-friendly event with themed “lands,” historical reenactments, circus performers, scarecrow contests, crafts, food trucks and live music

Camden County

Collingswood May Fair (Memorial Day weekend)

Street festival with art and crafts vendors, live music, a classic car show, a KidZone with rides and food.

Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Art Festival (July)

Two days featuring 200 artists, food, and activities for kids

Chester County

Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival (June)

The annual festival brings three days of colorful balloons, local food, live music and family fun to the region.

Blobfest (July)

The Phoenixville Blobfest is a three-day event that commemorates the classic 1958 movie; a famous scene was filmed at the Colonial Theatre.

Kennett Mushroom Festival (September)

Celebrates mushrooms, mushroom farms, mushroom-centric foods and crafts at the Mushroom Capital of the World

Phoenixville Firebird Festival (December)

A community arts celebration where a giant wooden Phoenix is burned in a celebration of rebirth, along with art and music

Gloucester County

Pitman Craft Shows (Spring and Fall)

Held twice a year with artisans, handmade goods, food vendors in a family-friendly day atmosphere

Gloucester County Fair (July)

4-H youth exhibits, animals, entertainment, carnival rides, tractor pulls, community events and craft contests

Kent County

Dover Days Festival (May 1-2)

A celebration of Delaware featuring historical re-enactments, parades, maypole dancing, arts and crafts and music

Delaware State Fair (July 23 to Aug. 1)

A large fairground event with farm animal exhibits, headline concerts, carnival rides and more

Wyoming Peach Festival (August)

Celebrate the region’s peach-growing heritage with crafts, food, a peach dessert contest and kids’ activities.

New Castle County

Separation Day (June 12-13)

A celebration of Delaware’s independence from Pennsylvania and the British Crown with music, a Colonial-inspired parade, children’s rides, an artisan market, beer garden and fireworks

Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Festival at Rockwood Park (June 27)

Ice cream, live music, kids’ activities, family entertainment, a maker market, food, museum tours and fireworks

Hockessin Fourth of July Parade

A community tradition for more than 50 years; also includes a festival and fireworks

Arden Fair (Late Summer)

The long-running festival features children’s games and rides, handmade crafts, antiques, used books, live music, an art exhibit and more.

Brandywine Festival of the Arts (September)

Two full days of art, music, food and family-friendly fun at the largest arts festival in the state. The festival boasts participants from across the United States.

Philadelphia County

Mummers Parade (Jan. 1)

Celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2026 and just named the best holiday parade in the entire country by USA Today and 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, this unique event features dazzling, over-the-top performances and world-renowned String Band divisions.

Chestnut Hill’s Home and Garden Festival (early May)

This family-friendly street festival highlights home and garden decor, craft demonstrations, live music, children’s activities and more than 200 businesses in the Chestnut Hill Business District.

Wawa Welcome America Festival (late June through July 4)

Expect dozens of free events including concerts, free museum days, community programs, parades, fireworks and more.

Kensington Kinetic Derby and Arts Festival (Fall)

Watch teams parade in no-motor, human-powered vehicles down Frankford Avenue and into a mud pit. The festival also includes food trucks, nearly 100 vendors and artists and family fun.
