Apply Early for Summer Science

Parents are advised to sign up early for the 24th annual GlaxoSmithKline Science in the Summer program, a free week of 45-minute, hands-on science fun for southeastern Pennsylvania kids entering grades 2-6 next school year.

Space is limited for the program, conducted at local libraries in Philadelphia and surrounding counties. Some libraries have already begun accepting registration. Dates and registration deadlines vary by library. Some libraries conduct lotteries to determine who will participate.

This year’s topics include Bucks County, oceanography; Chester County, genetics; Delaware County, chemistry; Montgomery County, bioscience; and Philadelphia, physical science and electricity. For info and to register, call your local library.
