October’s a heavy month for parent-teacher conferences. It’s also the time for Safe Schools Week (Oct. 19-25). When you’re in your child’s school and classroom, look for the following attributes to make sure the environment is as safe as possible in the event of an emergency. If you see anything that concerns you, speak with your teacher or principal.
