Every November, wannabe novelists attempt to write a novel in just 30 days, during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Adult authors have a target of 50,000 words. Kids 17 and younger don't have to reach that number; they set their own word-count goal, then write every day to reach their aim.
