You can now look up how New Jersey rates your school district on its School Performance Reports.
Until last week, you could only search for results by individual school. The new reports here allow you to see how a whole school district is doing.
This is handy if you are, for example, researching schools while looking for a new place to live. Or if you want to fact check your brother next time he starts bragging about how great his kids' school district is. (Similarly, the report now includes statewide figures, handy for Thanksgiving when your out-of-state relatives show up.)
The summary reports are heavy on graphics that rate districts on English, Math, chronic absenteeism, graduation rates and percentage of graduates who go to college. The full reports allow you to drill down for more detail.
