With the holiday season rapidly approaching, Christmas events and Santa sightings are coming back to the Philly area. Be on the lookout for these events to pop back up this year.
Philly Christmas Village
Philadelphia Christmas Village will be making a return in 2024 as one of the city’s holiday traditions. It serves as an outdoor market where you can get some Christmas shopping done.
The festival takes place in Center City Philadelphia and is modeled after traditional German Christmas markets, and the event will return on Nov. 23 and run through Christmas Eve.
A Longwood Christmas
Longwood Gardens had a retro Christmas celebration in 2023 with hundreds of trees trimmed in throwback fashion with classic baubles, tinsel and iconic childhood toys. The fountains at the botanical garden are illuminated and dance to the “sounds of the season.”
The event returns this year running from Nov. 22-Jan. 12 and will be putting on Longwood Reimagined with brand new spaces including the sprawling new West Conservatory to imaginative new outdoor landscapes.
Events and Santa Sighting at A Very Furry Christmas
A family-friendly celebration at Sesame Place Philadelphia returns in 2024 featuring popular “Sesame Street” friends from the iconic show.
The park is transformed with lights, rides and festive holiday decorations and filled with fun, Christmas-themed events, including light shows with their over 30-foot tree, the Christmas Parade and a Santa sighting at his Furry Workshop.
Details for 2024 will become available as the winter season approaches.
Santa Sightings Galore
Santa poked his head into several area malls to meet with kids last year and it pays to be on the lookout for these hotspots so your child can get a chance to deliver their Christmas wish to the big guy.
