There are lots of early Halloween events this weekend just for kids as well as fun opportunities to get outdoors.

In-Person Children’s Halloween Event
October 22, 5 p.m.
The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901

Children are encouraged to come in costume to this special Halloween event featuring local author Billy Polard.

By the Light of the Moon
October 22 & 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Upper Schuylkill Valley Park, 1615 Black Rock Rd., Royersford, PA 19468

All ages are invited to enjoy a moonlit tour of the Upper Schuylkill Valley Park where you will learn about (and maybe even hear the sounds of) nocturnal animals.

Halloween Village
October 23 & 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
97 Trench Rd., Bridgeton, NJ 08302

The Shoppes at Dragon Village will be transformed into a Halloween village that kids in costume are encouraged to visit. This weekend there will be food trucks, live music, pumpkin painting, pony rides and more.

Tricks or Trails
October 23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Norristown Farm Park, 2500 Upper Farm Rd., Norristown, PA 19403

Kids will be able to explore Norristown Farm Park while trick-or-treating for safe and healthy prizes.

Culturefest: Día de los Muertos
October 23, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Penn Museum, 3260 South St., Philadelphia, PA 19104

This all-day festival celebrating Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a family-friendly event with an arts activity, altar competition, artisan market and dance and music performances.

15th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut
October 23, 11 a.m.
The Navy Yard, 4747 S Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19112

While kids 12 and under get in free to this dog-centric fall festival, their parents’ registration fee will support Philly PAWS rescue efforts. Bring your furry friend along for a day of fun.

Roxtoberfest 2021
October 23, 1-6 p.m.
Ridge Ave. & Leverington Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128

Kids will be able to celebrate Halloween early with Roxborough’s treat-or-treating, photo opportunities and circus performances.

18th Century Field Day
October 24
Red Bank Battlefield Park, 100 Hessian Ave., National Park, NJ 08063

Visitors will be able to watch living history demonstrations, artillery drills and cannon demonstrations at this kid-friendly event.
