Our June CoverKid, Lachlan R., is a first grader from Hockessin, DE, who loves Lego, sports and video games. He told us about his family and what he likes to do in the summer.
Lachlan’s family
“My dad Phill is from New Zealand, my mom Linnea is from Delaware and my sister Hadley is 3 years old. We have a golden retriever named Lily whose birthday is on Christmas.”
Favorite pastimes
At home Lachlan likes to toss a football with his dad, watch TV and play Xbox games. On the weekends he plays sports and goes to the movies with his grandparents.
At the beach
When it comes to putting his feet in the sand, Lachlan says, “My favorite beach is Stone Harbor, NJ, because I get to see my cousins every weekend and it’s close to the Wildwood boardwalk. I love to swim in the pool, boogieboard in the ocean and have catches on the beach with my uncle.” He also finds time to ride his bike, play mini golf and have lots of Springer’s ice cream.
Amusement park fun
Lachlan likes rollercoasters the best but enjoys other rides, too. His favorites thrills are at DisneyWorld — the Expedition Everest coaster and the Peter Pan and Buzz Lightyear rides.
Although Lachlan truly likes school, he’s looking forward to some summer fun!
