Philadelphia

Fabric Workshop and Museum
In addition to teen workshops, the high-school apprentice-training program lets kids learn from the pros and design their own hand-screenprinted textiles while boosting entrepreneurial and collaborative skills.

Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial
Open to ages 5-18, the Saturday Young Artists Program offers courses in an array of media, from digital photography, silkscreen and printmaking to fiber arts, drawing & painting and sculpture. Concurrent adult classes allow parents to tap into their creativity, too.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
Saturday classes, week-long summer intensives and pre-college programs give high schoolers the opportunity to build a portfolio and hone their talent with guidance from faculty. 

Philadelphia Museum of Art
The Teen Sketch Club — open to Philadelphia public-school students — preps kids for a career in visual or graphic arts while they explore architecture, contour drawing, landscape and the human figure.

Abington Art CenterJenkintown
Classes for ages 10-15 show aspiring creators new ways to express themselves through jewelry making, clay, drawing and STEAM, which incorporates 3D printing and other tech.

Main Line Art Center, Haverford
Got a comics fan in the family? Let their geek flag fly during courses for middle and high schoolers that delve into video games, graphic novels and animation. Or opt for traditional faves like drawing & painting and wheel throwing. The center also hosts programming for teens with special needs.

Wayne Art Center, Wayne
Still-life and figure drawing, photography, fashion and oil painting are just a few of the classes offered here. On view March 16-April 13, the Teen Works exhibit displays creations by budding artists from Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties
