Top Picks for This Weekend

Grab your broom or hat! The FREE Witches and Wizards Weekend, Friday and Saturday in Philly’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood, features a festival, Quidditch tournament, straw maze, 5K run/walk, witchcraft & wizardry workshops and a haunted escape room.

From cheery to chilling, the jack-o-lantern is truly an art form. See dozens of impressive gourds during two festivals: Through Saturday, the Great Pumpkin Carve at the Chadds Ford, PA Historical Society features 70 creations, plus a haunted trail, hayrides and live music. Then, the Great Delaware Pumpkin Carve brings more than 50 illuminated pumpkins, trick-or-treating and a pumpkin-decorating contest to the state fairgrounds in Harrington.

Ahhhhh! Think you can outrun a zombie? How about a whole downtown full of them? Try your best during the Zombie Fest Saturday in Dewey Beach, DE, where you’ll find costume & pumpkin-carving contests, makeup stations, live music and the main-event Zombie Walk.
