StoryWalks and Drumming at Harrowgate Park
Friends of Harrowgate Park hosts weekly music and book events for kids

Music and book-loving kids will be excited to hear about the weekly outdoor StoryWalks and Drumming events hosted by Friends of Harrowgate Park this summer. For the next four Tuesdays at 2 p.m., kids will be able to listen to stories and try their hand at drumming. The events are completely free and snacks will be available.
The featured children’s books are all bilingual and will be read in both Spanish and English. Check out the books on the schedule:
June 29: “We Laugh Alike / Juntos nos reímos” by Carmen T. Bernier-Grand
July 6: “Call Me Tree / Llámame Árbol” by Maya Christina Gonzalez
July 13: “Siesta” by Ginger Guy
July 20: “What Can You Do with a Paleta / ¿Qué puedes hacer con una paleta?” by Carmen Tafolla
The weekly events will be held near the playground at Harrowgate Park. The 5-acre park is located at 3455 Kensington Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134 in Northeast Philadelphia.
