Nursing moms can find privacy at Philadelphia Airport

A nursing pod at PHL is one of several in the area that provide privacy to breastfeeding moms who desire it.

Nursing moms have a new option if they want privacy when they are passing through Philadelphia International Airport: A breastfeeding "pod."

The 4-by-8 lactation room is in Terminal F near the food court and joins other local pods from Mamava, including ones at Pennsylvania Convention Center, CHOP, Temple, Philadelphia Zoo and Wells Fargo Center. You need to download the Mamava app to find locations and unlock the doors. Inside, you'll not only have secure privacy, but a bench, fold-down table and an electrical outlet for a breast pump.

There is no charge to use the pod.

Some moms don't believe they should be sequestered when they breastfeed in public, but for those who feel differently, or on those occasions when some privacy would be nice, Mamava pods provide an alternative.
