MetroKids Pirate's Lair Treasure Winners

0

Ahoy, me hearties! Over the weekend, MetroKids joined the Independence Seaport Museum in salty celebration of the 2nd annual Old City Seaport Festival. All weekend long, hundreds of lads and lassies made eye patches and pirate hooks, sent out messages in a bottle and had their faces painted by the talented Party Business crew. The swashbucklin’ fun didn’t stop there! The silly, witty wenches from Sidetracked duo told pirate tales, the Philadelphia Zoo’s Zoo on Wheels brought live critters (including lizards, an owl and a German cockroach), scallywags leapt about in the castle bounce provided by J-dogs, On Pointe Dance Center and the Metro Kids Club put on performances that even Davy Jones would love, and Mr. David C. Perry drew caricatures that captured everyone’s inner sea dog!

Throughout the weekend, everyone had the opportunity to guess how many candy corn kernels filled our large jar – and the results are in!

There were 2,344 candy corn kernels in our jar!

Our grand prize winner, with the closest guess, is: John V. of Philadelphia, who guessed 2,248!

The second place winner is: Justin T. of Williamstown, NJ, who guessed 2,223!

Nine runners-up will also receive a prize:

  • Dane L. of Phoenixville, PA (2,056)
  • Colin F. of Woodbury, NJ (2,050)
