Westtown School

Westtown is a Quaker, co-ed, preK - 12, day school with boarding options in grades 9-12. Westtown School offers a challenging, diverse curriculum emphasizing action-based learning, critical thinking, creative problem solving, collaboration, service and social action. For over 200 years, Westtown has inspired and prepared its graduates to be stewards and leaders of a better world.

Points of Pride: A Changemaker School -Westtown was selected to be a Changemaker School by the famous Ashoka Organization. Westtown is one of only seven pre-K through 12 schools (and the only boarding school and the only Quaker school) in the Changemaker School network in the United States.
Deep Dive Designations - The program honors Upper School students who are engaged in an intentional, organized and well-documented arc of action-based learning and focused scholarship. We offer Deep Dives in four areas: Social Entrepreneurship, Sustainability Leadership, Global Leadership, and Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice.
Action Based Education - We have a distinctive approach that prepares students differently than many other schools, which organize their curricula around high-stakes tests. At Westtown, we do something very different; we place action in the center of each student’s experience
600 Acre Campus: Campus is a vast learning laboratory used by all divisions. It includes a 14 acre lake, an arboretum,a National Wildlife Federation-certified garden, 14 playing fields, an organic farm and much more.
