This historic garden along the Schuylkill River was once the home of pioneering 18th century botanist John Bartram. Explore Bartram’s former house & farm buildings, along with the surrounding gardens, meadows & wetlands. The rare Franklinia tree is named for Bartram’s friend Ben Franklin. Bartram also boasts the oldest gingko tree in the U.S. KIDBIT: Monthly Little Explorers programs for ages 2-4 feature walks, hands-on activities, reading & snacks.
