A  hike, bike ride or stroller walk can burn calories and refresh our spirits. Enjoy nature with the kids at these parks, suggested by MetroKids moms.

A Few Tips

Let your child set the pace. Shorter distances are better for younger hikers.

Make frequent stops.

Bring healthy snacks & water.

• When hiking with very young children, wear a child carrier or backpack to carry them when they get tired.

Use bug spray with no more than 10%-30% concentration of DEET.

• Stay on trails to avoid poison ivy and snakes.
