The leaves are changing colors, and there’s a crisp chill in the air — fall is here! It’s the perfect time for you and your family to take part in seasonal activities like pumpkin picking, corn mazes and more farm fun and games.

Many local farms in the Delaware Valley area open their doors to visitors during September and October before they close up shop for the winter. Don’t miss the opportunity to make unforgettable memories with your family at these attractions offering plenty of fall fun.

Places to See the Animals

Meet, feed and even pet animals living on the farm! Many of these petting farms have animals like goats, cows, pigs and small animals like rabbits.

Fox Chase Farm | Philadelphia, PA

(Open by appointment or during community events)

An education facility belonging to the Philadelphia School District, offering hands-on farm education for field trips and volunteer opportunities. The farm recently got eight baby goats!

Tyler Farmstead | Bensalem, PA

Private farm with a petting zoo; also open for parties and pony rides

The Little Farm | Camden Wyoming, DE

(Open by appointment only)

Has more than 200 animals, mostly small animals and birds; also holds community events

Hidden Hill Farm | Sewell, NJ

Offers yoga with lambs and goats, and feeding opportunities for calves and baby goats

Harvest Season

Pick your own pumpkins at these farms! Whether you’re making a pumpkin pie, decorating a jack-o’-lantern or just looking for some fall decor, being able to pick your own pumpkin makes the experience all the more personal.

Corn Mazes

Corn maze open in September through October; also has play areas, goat yoga and u-pick crops

Merrymead Farm | Lansdale, PA

Has a 5-acre corn maze during the fall; well-known for its handmade ice cream

Ramsey’s Farm | Wilmington, DE

Corn maze spans over 10 acres and includes trivia questions; for younger visitors, there’s a smaller maze. The farm has u-pick pumpkins and other fall fun activities as well.

Springdale Farm Market | Cherry Hill, NJ

The last working farm in Cherry Hill Township; has a corn maze and hayrides in the fall
