Book Review: Passing the Bone: America's Next Pup of the United States

Passing the Bone: America’s Next POTUS is a fun way to keep kids updated on current events and politics. Using humor, Heather Patterson introduces the duties of the president, making the book both intriguing and educational.

In the story, Bo Obama, Pup of the United States, gives a speech to dogs all across the nation about becoming the next furry friend to reside in the White House. Through Bo’s words, we learn that it takes much more than being cute to earn the position of First Pup. Only the most loyal, patient and patriotic pooch can do the job. Even though the title does come with a lot of responsibility, being POTUS is an honor any dog would love having.
