My Way or the Hiway
The Hiway Theater has been screening movies in Jenkintown for more than 100 years, and while it was renovated in the 2000s, it still screens classic films alongside popular modern hits. The nonprofit theater was a frequent hangout spot for Jenkintown’s most famous local, actor Bradley Cooper, when he still lived in the area. For families, the theater hosts $5 matinees of family-friendly flicks once a month.
Piazza Party
Jenkintown is well known for its shopping, and Piazza on the Square at Jenkintown is one of the best places in town to shop and eat. The district is home to several locally owned restaurants, bakeries, clothing stores, jewelers and services like salons. Piazza on the Square is also a popular event space, hosting outdoor concerts and night markets in the summer.
