Fall has a way of making everything feel a little more inviting. Crisp mornings, colorful leaves and the return of favorite seasonal traditions give families plenty to look forward to. From farm stands overflowing with apples and pumpkins to local restaurants serving up autumn-inspired treats and community events celebrating the season, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy fall close to home. Here are some of the seasonal flavors, activities and happenings we’re excited to explore this autumn.
Christopher’s Neighborhood Place | Wayne, PA
From the beginning, the menu at Christopher’s has been designed with the whole family in mind, with options that appeal to all ages and a team focused on friendly service. As it enters the fall season, the restaurant brings classic fall fare into both its regular menu and daily additions, featuring comforting, seasonal flavors that guests look forward to this time of year and many allergen-free options. Christopher’s will work closely with guests to accommodate a wide range of allergies and dietary restrictions.
Harvest Seasonal Grill | Moorestown (NJ), Collegeville, Glen Mills and Newtown (PA)
Rooted in the restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy, this seasonal menu celebrates the flavors of autumn while introducing children to nutritious foods prepared with the same care and quality found throughout Harvest’s menu. Young diners can enjoy favorites such as antibiotic-free grilled chicken with seasonal vegetables, whole-wheat pasta with marinara, grilled salmon with fresh broccoli and natural beef burgers paired with hand-cut fries or fresh fruit. Seasonal accompaniments may include roasted sweet potatoes, crisp local apples, butternut squash and colorful vegetables sourced from regional farms whenever available, bringing the best of the harvest season to every plate.
Jane’s Tea House | Haddon Heights, NJ
Fall has landed at Jane’s Tea House, and it is steeping up quite the season! Cozy into a brand-new Fall Afternoon Tea Experience (Sept 2 to Nov. 29) packed with seasonal flavors perfect for sweater weather. Then, let the good times roll with Tea With the Beatles (Sept. 19) — a magical tea through the Fab Four’s greatest hits. Come October (Oct. 17), brew up some mischief at Hocus Pocus Par-Tea, a spellbinding Halloween bash inspired by everyone’s favorite witchy sister Winifred. And when the leaves start falling, the Rat Pack is back with Tea With Sinatra (Nov. 15), for an evening that’s nothing but “Fly Me to the Chai.” Grab your besties and book your table — this fall lineup is brewing up to be the best yet!
Springdale Farms | Voorhees, NJ
By the middle of September, pumpkins are cut, and throughout October, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes are available for sale at the store. Campfire hayrides are a favorite attraction in the fall, along with pumpkin hayrides. In fact, as the farming season changes from spring to summer to fall, so do the attractions Springdale Farms can offer the public. Visit the bakery for Springdale’s famous apple cider donuts or the dessert of the month featuring the current fresh crop. The plant yard and gift shop are the perfect places to wander among beauty and inspiration for your next project or perfect gifts. And don’t forget your pies for Thanksgiving and fresh-cut trees and wreaths for the holidays!
