In the meadow, we can build a snowman, unless there are dangerous wind chills and subzero temperatures. Or if we don’t have any snow. No worries! We have dozens of Snowman Crafts that we can do indoors. It also will help us practice fine motor and sensory since we may have an extended break over the holidays.
I love the holidays, winter and snow. Very early on in our marriage, I realized that I HATED the way the house feels when I take down the Christmas decorations. So I started buying more snowman decorations and less Christmas stuff as we invested in holiday decorations. Now, I leave the snowman things up for January and some of February. Usually once Lent starts, I get out my Easter things.
But I hated winter with a bare mantle on the fireplace and all the pretty holiday decorations gone. Problem solved! Here are 20 super easy snowman crafts for you to do with your kids, and I made sure that they have a focus on sensory and fine motor skills. Sometimes I prefer a simple craft with Kevin and let him do what he can, rather than a more complex one and have me do so much hand-over-hand.
