Poe Evermore returns to the Mount Hope Mansion in Lancaster County, PA (site of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire), Nov. 2-14. Edgar Allan Poe stories such as The Raven and The Pit and the Pendulum come to life in this interactive theatrical experience. Older children ages 12 & up and adults. $18.95-$21.95.

“Everybody cut Footloose” at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. The Playhouse presents this ‘80s dancing romp, Nov. 4-14, followed by the famous musical Hello, Dolly!, Nov. 17-Dec. 5, on its Main Stage. $22.

Two actors perform a live version of the E.B. White storybook Charlotte’s Web, at the Garden State Discovery Museum’s Discovery Theatre, Nov. 4-7 & 13. Kids can also make egg carton spiders, spin art, piglet masks & blue ribbons at the museum on those days. Free with admission, $10.95.

Annie Get Your GunAt the Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County (NJ) Community College, you can see the irreverent musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Nov. 5-14, and Irving Berlin’s musical classic Annie Get Your Gun, Nov. 19-28. $12-$26.

The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia presents another Irving Berlin favorite, the holiday musical White Christmas, based on the 1954 film of the same name, Nov. 9-Jan. 9. $10-$95.

In Ultra-Realistic Sculpture by Marc Sijan, on display at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, Nov. 13-Jan. 16, 2011, lifelike figures by Sijan could be mistaken for real people — they’re that convincing. Free with admission, $6-$12.

Join The Three Musketeers in a 17th century holiday singing & dancing extravaganza at People’s Light & Theatre in Malvern, PA. The Three Musketeers (The Later Years): A Musical Panto, part of the Target Family Discovery Series, runs Nov. 17-Jan. 9, 2011. Ages 5 & up. $25-$45.

Wanda SykesEmmy award-winning comedian Wanda Sykes stars as Miss Hannigan in Annie, the musical about the orphan girl, at the Media Theatre, Nov. 23-Jan. 16, 2011. $27-$42.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Tony award-winning musical South Pacific debuts in Philadelphia at the Academy of Music, Nov. 23-28. Enjoy classics such as “Some Enchanted Evening” during this World War II-era musical, which follows the romance of two couples on a tropical island. $20-$100.

Another Rodgers & Hammerstein classic, The Sound of Music, will be performed at the Premier Centre for the Arts in Middletown, DE, Nov. 26-Dec. 12. $12-$15.

The Eagle's ClawStages of Imagination presents an original musical, The Eagle’s Claw, about a group of birds who must work together to survive in a storm. The character education show for schools & families promotes tolerance & cooperation to stop bullying. Best appreciated by preschoolers through grade 5. At the Meagher Theater at Neumann University in Aston, PA, Nov. 30-Dec. 14 & Dec. 17-22 and at the Bluett Theater at St. Joseph’s University in Phila., Dec. 15-16. $6.50.

Holiday Happenings

Student artwork will be displayed in the Children’s Gallery at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA, Nov. 14-Dec. 5 during the annual display, Gift of Giving IX. Once the exhibit is finished, the pieces will be gift wrapped and given to local residents affected by HIV/AIDS. An opening day reception from 2-4pm features refreshments, art activities & entertainment. Free with admission, $5-$10.

Santa's Paradise ExpressMeet Santa, his helpers & musicians on board Santa’s Paradise Express, a 45-min. vintage steam train ride along the Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster County, Nov. 26-28 & Dec. 4-19. $3-$17.

Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA shows off seasonal displays this month. See more than 20,000 mums in the Conservatory during the Chrysanthemum Festival, Nov. 1-21, then sparkling trees and thousands of poinsettias during A Longwood Gardens Christmas, Nov. 25-Jan. 9, 2011. Mum Festival free with admission, $6-$16. Timed tickets for Christmas display, $8-$18. Ages 4 & younger free.
