St. John of God Community Services offers two children’s programs. The St. John of God Early Intervention Programs offers services to children birth to 3 years with developmental delay, as well as inclusion opportunities in its community daycare/nursery school for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Archbishop Damiano School (www.adsschool.org) serves students ages 3 to 21 with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. The ADS curriculum aligns with the Common Core State Standards. Full arrays of therapeutic services are available. The curriculum is enhanced through multiple real life experiences such as the Quail Hatching in the Classroom Project and the Equine Riding Program for preschoolers. These activities support our mission which is to assist persons with disabilities to develop their skills to their fullest potential.
