Garfield serves students ages 5-21 who are emotionally challenged and may have multiple disabilities, including Asperger syndrome. An extensive state approved vocational program as well as work study is offered, with programs in culinary arts, retail trades, cosmetology, auto technology, carpentry & horticulture. College scholarships are also available. The School-to-Career program has a work study component. Social workers reside in the classrooms and intensive group & individual counseling, speech & language therapy, art therapy, music therapy and family counseling are provided. Parent education classes & an extended school year are also available. Garfield is Middle States Accredited.
