With 104 years of experience, Devereux is one of the oldest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare in the country continuing to serve children & adolescents. An extensive array of services is offered to youth faced with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and/or mental health challenges. Service options include intensive residential treatment programs, inpatient and outpatient programs, day treatment programs, community-based services such including BHRS, respite care programs, foster care, special education day schools, and vocational and pre-vocational training, as well as employment programs. Additionally, Devereux offers an Autism Assessment Center, school-based consultation for students with autism (CARES Consulting) and students with emotional/behavioral support needs (Center for Effective Schools).
Devereux embraces a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports/Trauma Informed Care (PBIS-TIC) approach. PBIS-TIC is a research-supported, evidence-based model which emphasizes importance of providing options to make positive choices.
