A selection of the best children's books published during the last year.




The Horn Book, which has reviewed children's literature for more than 80 years, has announced its 2011 summer book list of new kids’ titles published during the last year. To find great summer reading for your child, select a type of book and grade level:

Picture Books (preschool-grade 3)
Early Readers & Younger Fiction (grades K-3)
Intermediate Fiction & Nonfiction (grades 4-5)
Middle School Fiction & Nonfiction (grades 6-8)
High School (grades 8 & up)
