Pay Your Age Day at Build-a-Bear

On Thursday (July 12), Build-a-Bear Workshop is having a "Pay Your Age Day." If you register in advance for their Bonus Club, you can go take your kids to a store and they can each pick out a bear and you pay the child's age.

The Build-a-Bear website went done for awhile this morning shortly after they announced the deal, so be prepared for a crowd. However, they do give you the option of buying the bear unstuffed and coming back another time to stuff it.

Scholastic's Summer Reading Road Trip to stop in Collegeville, PA

The Scholastic RV will be visiting the Towne Book Center and Cafe in Collegeville, Montgomery County, PA on Saturday (July 14) from 11am–1pm.

The pop-up reading festival is for families with kids 0–12 where they can get giveaways, win prizes, take photos with costumed characters, do crafts and activities and meet authors.

Kids book club at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble is starting a Kids' Book Hangout where readers ages 6 – 12 meet to talk about books and play games. The first one will be held Saturday, July 28 at 2pm. You can sign up here.

If your kids can't make the Hangout, Barnes & Noble has a summer-reading program where they can get a free book after reading eight books.
