Established in 1970, Trevose Day School and Neshaminy Montessori offer an innovative and nurturing educational program emphasizing exploration and independence. This dynamic environment encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Under the guidance of the diverse faculty, our young students become equipped not only to succeed at their next level of education, but also to engage the world as curious, responsible citizens with a life-long passion for learning.
The Trevose Day School program offers a traditional and structured method towards learning. Our classrooms focus on students in grade Pre-K through grade 5. We provide a highly individualized teaching style that accommodates each learner’s needs and ability.
The Neshaminy Montessori program roots itself in young children’s formative ability to learn through exploration that holistically activates their senses. Our multi-age classroom is designed to foster creativity, confidence, and social awareness for children ages 2 1/2 through 5 years old. The curriculum is dedicated to five areas of learning: math, science, practical life, language and sensorial. Within this balanced learning environment, students evolve into curious, perceptive, and well-rounded individuals.
Our traditional and Montessori programs are supplemented with learning activities in science, technology, the visual and performing arts, music, movement and chess. Sustainability is an integral part of our core mission. To this end, we offer hands-on opportunities to embrace and respect our planet. On a beautiful campus with bucolic outdoor areas, our students learn to care for chickens, rabbits, and butterflies, as well as gardens. These unique educational experiences serve as a platform through which students build not only sound environmental practices, but also their propensity for thoughtful participation, community engagement, and stewardship. Trevose Day School and Neshaminy Montessori have a long tradition and deep-rooted commitment to excellence, innovation and collaboration in an environment of warmth, trust, and respect.
We are members of the AMS (American Montessori Society) with teachers who are Pennsylvania certified in Early Childhood and/or Elementary Education.
