Shipley School, The

Dr. Steven S Piltch
Map814 Yarrow St.
Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
  • Independent School

The Shipley School is a private, coeducational day school for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students, located in Bryn Mawr, PA. Through our commitment to educational excellence, we develop within each student a love of learning and a desire for compassionate participation in the world.

Points of Pride: Strong relationships between students and faculty are at the heart of everything we do. Because our teachers know our students as learners and as people, they develop the confidence to explore; we require creativity in all (there are no easy or reflexive answers); which leads to deeply rooted learning. We call our unique approach The Shipley Method.

High School Specifics

It is our curriculum’s balance of support and rigor that sets students up for success as they apply to colleges. We challenge students to find the college that is the best match for them, whether that is an Ivy League university, a small liberal arts school, or a state school. We are proud of the wide range of schools our students choose.
