Est. in 1865 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart, Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls. Sacred Heart Academy, known as SHA, is part of a national network of 24 independent schools located in North America which share a common heritage and vision. There are more than 150 Sacred Heart schools around the world providing an international campus for our students at Bryn Mawr through exchange programs, summer workshops, service opportunities and use of SofieConnect.

HS Short Description

Student-centered school community with an updated academic program and curriculum offerings. Revised 21st Century schedule to included 60 and 70-minute classes over a seven-day rotation. Innovative classroom instruction with new graduation requirements require Upper School students to take four years of English and religion and three years of math, science, social studies, and world languages. Students will end each day with a 40-minute period to do homework, seek extra help, or meet with peers. More concentrated semester and full-year art courses in the Upper School.
