When you ask a Miquon family about their school choice, you’ll hear a variety of perspectives and experiences. And yet, their testimonies sound strikingly similar.
These families share their unique stories of Miquon as a place where children are fulfilled and happy. They reveal a sense of belonging and connectedness to the school and each other, united by a common sense of purpose. They describe Miquon’s program as a rigorous one that meets their child where they are. Learning is inquiry-based, project-based, and hands-on. Diverse backgrounds and ideas are honored and celebrated.
Those who hear these stories begin to understand Miquon as a place that cultivates the intelligence, independence, and importance of each individual child that enters its campus.
As a result, Miquon graduates are known to be confident self advocates who maintain the natural curiosity inherent in the very young. In their personal lives, they are nature lovers and nature dwellers, artists and musicians, readers and writers, travelers and dreamers. As professionals, Miquon alumni go on to public and independent schools, and later to top colleges and universities. They are doctors and lawyers. They are also social workers and social justice advocates, filmmakers and playwrights, architects and inventors. 10 students per teacher at all levels/grades.
Miquon is a non-profit independent school without religious affiliation and is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association for Independent Schools.
