Description:

Cecil College, Fair Hill Nature Center, Plumpton Park Zoo, and Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School have teamed up again this year to offer summer camps in every subject your child could possibly dream! Camps run from 9am-12pm and 12:30-3:30pm (half-day) or 9am-3:30pm (full day). Before and After-Care is FREE at Cecil College Camps. To give you an example or our programs, we offer STEM Camps taught by College professors and certified school teachers, Musical and Theatre camps from our long-running Young People's Theatre Program, Zoo Keeper camps at the Plumpton Park Zoo, nature camps abound at Fair Hill, and you can even build your boat (with a boat launch ceremony) at the Teen Boat Building camp . We offer educational camps like chemistry and physics as well as fun and imaginative camps like Pokemon, Percy Jackson, and Mario Kart and Minecraft. Each camp provides a curriculum of learning, arts and teamwork. Other popular subjects are our LEGOs camps, which include Robotics, Minestorms, WeDo, Simple Machines, Technics, Architecture, popular kits, and full engineering projects. All College resources, classrooms and technology are available for our summer camp students, which translates to a really fantastic experience. This is especially true for our Digital Photography and Video Game camps, in which the students use our latest and most advanced technology and software. One of our most popluar camps is Camp Scrubs, which is a week-long immersion program in the world of doctors, nurses, paramedics and health care. We have also teamed up with Black Rocket to offer their fantastic STEM camps that include creating mobile apps, 3D prints and designs, and Minecraft Mods. Cecil College maintains a high standard for staff, counselors, volunteers and counselors-in-training. All classes are taught by certified school teachers, College Professors, and experts in their fields. Our staff to student ratio averages 1 staff for every 4 students. Our camps meet the highest of standards with regard to curriculum, facilities and necessary supplies. Numerous staff are certified CPR and First Aid trained, and campus security is always nearby.
