Philly Improv Theater's Improv Comedy Summer Camp for middle and high schoolers is a great place to build invaluable skills that last a lifetime, make friends with the funniest teens in Philly, and, of course, grow as a comedian!
During the two week camp, students will learn the power of “Yes, and,” the foundation of improv comedy, which encourages improvisers of all ages to take risks, support their teammates, and find confidence in their creative voices. It’s no wonder the skills learned in improv can help kids of all ages on the stage, in the classroom, and in life.
Oh – and it’s also tons of fun.
Middle Schoolers will explore short-form improv, which teaches the basics of improv comedy through fun Whose Line is it Anyway? style games.
High School teens will discover long-form improv and the tools comedians use to create completely made-up-on-the-spot scenes.
