Penn Charter Summer Camps offer an experience for kids of all interests. Day Camp is the best in old-fashioned fun with art, music, swimming, tennis, archery, cooking, guest performers and more. Enrichment Camp is hands-on learning with fun, challenging activities to stimulate creativity. Science Camp features robotics, engineering, rocket science and electrical inventions. Science Maker Campers design, build and test a project with Little Bits. Sports Camp offers expert instruction in eight sports, plus field trips. One-week Varsity Camps (baseball, wrestling, basketball, tennis, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, squash) offer advanced instruction by varsity coaches. Sing, act, dance, create and perform in a musical production during 4-week Performing Arts Camp. Robotics Campers use LEGO NXT robotics system to construct robots that can navigate an obstacle course. Girls Empowerment Camp combines creative arts, physical challenge, team building. Handwork Studio Camps invite budding fashionistas and crafty kids to machine sew, knit and crochet. Rocketry Campers will build and launch their own rockets. Sports Broadcasting Camp explores the field of sports broadcasting with WIP's Joe DeCamara. Two Youth Digital Camps (Mod Design and Video Game Development) teach cutting-edge technology to tomorrow’s digital innovators. In two Spanish Camps, learn about environmental issues and explore the rich cultures of Latin America through legends, songs, food and dance. Outdoor Skills and Climbing Camp focuses on learning the skills and risk management of rock climbing and wilderness safety. In Drone Camp, use Syma XIIC drones to learn flight basics and complete an obstacle course. In Adventures in Animation, explore how to create short films through hands-on approaches. CodeCraft Academy will teach how to code in Minecraft. Filmmaking Academy offers the opportunity to write, direct, and edit short films. Musical Instrument Design and Creation campers will use laser cutters and 3D printers to create ukuleles, djembe drums, flutes. Chess Campers will play tournament-style recorded chess with chess clocks. In two Youth & Money Camps, learn how to put on a circus, from performing to marketing; and start your own business, including web fundamentals and coding skills.
