Don’t tell your kids, but the learning doesn’t have to stop once they’re out of school and attending summer camp.
Kids U!, Delaware Valley University’s series of weeklong specialty camps and academies, is specifically designed to engage both hearts and minds. Every session is energetic and hands-on, immersing campers in both learning and fun! Through collaboration with and learning from experienced faculty, educators and industry professionals, kids gain skills and enjoy experiences they simply could not get anywhere else.
Geared toward children and teens ages 5 to 18, Kids U! covers areas of interest to kids of all ages, including:
• Entrepreneurship and innovation
• Science and engineering
• Digital media
• Arts and industry
• Coding and app and game design
• Life and environmental sciences
All camps meet on DelVal’s picturesque main campus on East Butler Avenue in Doylestown, using the University’s classrooms, laboratories and multi-purpose spaces. Each program runs for one week, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Campers bring a brown bag lunch and eat as a group with their camp assistant.
In addition, early and late extended-care options are available through our partner, the Central Bucks Family YMCA. Care starts as early as 7 a.m. and ends as late as 6 p.m., right on DelVal's campus.
Imagine your kids spending the summer not stuck to a screen but exploring and creating. Imagine them designing apps, working in a lab, interacting with animals, programming robots, building their own businesses, and more. Imagine summer enrichment at its best, and you have Kids U! at DelVal.
“Kids U! allows the University to expand its offerings to young people in the Greater Bucks County Community,” says Barrie Saias, DelVal’s youth summer programming coordinator. “We love having our campers on campus, and we can’t wait for this summer’s sessions to get underway.”
