Description

Built more than 250 years ago as a summer retreat along the banks of the Schuylkill River, the mansion has been home to many prominent families.

The women associated with the mansion played many roles and their stories are told through an impressive collection of portraits and antiques. This tour is focused on the lives and legends of the women who resided here, such as Hannah Coleman, Rebecca Franks, Bilah Abigail Franks and Naomi Wood, whose antiques collection fills the museum.
