This event occurs daily, every 1 day(s).

Description

Have you ever pondered the genius behind the invention of the s’more, or wondered how anyone could survive a camping trip without bug spray and quick-dry fabrics?

Happy Campers! has answers. Vie some of the historical hits and misses of camping gear as found in the library’s early 20th-century catalogs. Scouting manuals, ‘roughing it’ recipe books and other colorful bits of ephemera come together to tell the story of how camping became a popular American pastime.
Open to the public on Mondays from 8:30am-4:30pm and Tuesday-Sunday from 8:30am-5:00pm.
