Eastern Coyote Program

Date/Time

Sep 14, 2019
02:00 PM until 02:45 PM

Description

Learn about the natural history of the elusive coyote by attending this indoor program.

The Eastern coyote has quietly colonized the city and suburbs of Philadelphia. Whereas wolves and bears were decimated in this area, the adaptable coyote has filled the vacancy at the top of the food chain. Our local coyotes stick to a diet of young deer, mice, voles, rabbits, and fruit, but they are not averse to eating pet food and garbage.

Meet in the Salt Wing, adjacent to the park office.
