American Society for Deaf Children ASL Learning Weekend

The event teaches American sign language to families and professionals. It includes workshops, small class and one-on-one attention that will focus on Deaf culture, ASL and more. The event offers more than seven hours of ASL class instruction.

Topics covered through out the weekend include:

  • Small group ASL Classes
  • One-on-one instruction when needed
  • Reading & Literacy
  • Fingerspelling
  • Numeral Incorporation
  • Sport signs
  • Jargon
  • Taboo Signs

This event is open for anyone 16 years old and up. All levels and abilities are welcome. Childcare will be available at no charge and will be provided by Edinboro University volunteers.  You must register no later than Feb. 1 if you will be taking advantage of childcare. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.
